It all started with a trailer. The orchestra playing at the background, the intriguing scenes that were shown, and the way the teacher delivered her confession in a rather cold and poker-faced way - it felt twisted, it looked crazy, and I grew curious. Thinking I wouldn't be able to watch this, I immediately looked it up on Wikipedia and read the story. Unimpressed, I immediately forgot about it.
It wasn't until last Wednesday when my sister decided to check what was on RED, an Asian movie channel. I was surprise. The movie was on, and suddenly my curiosity was back.
Confession is a psychological thriller Japanese movie that goes beyond evil and revenge. The movie tells the story of how Yoko Moriguchi takes justice into her own hands after her daughter was murdered by two of her students.
Thrilling and intense, the Wikipedia plot summary doesn't do justice to the real story. With it's unpredictable characters, switching point of views and unending twistst, the movie leaves you at the edge of the seat. No one can be trusted. No one is good. None of your theories might be true.
Confessions is such a twisted & crazy movie, you should get ready to be blown away.
